The Restoration Program is a two-year associate degree program designed to train restoration technicians in Turkey, a country with a civilization history spanning thousands of years. The program focuses on the preservation of immovable and movable cultural assets without altering their structural and visual characteristics.
Within this framework, students learn how to protect these historical artifacts from various harmful factors, stop their deterioration, and restore damaged or ruined sections in accordance with scientific principles while maintaining their original form.
One of the key objectives of the program is to ensure that the existing condition of the artifacts is preserved without engaging in repair or reconstruction.
Our department started admitting students for the first time in 2012.
