Mudurnu Süreyya Astarcı Vocational School students were given training on combating addiction. Speaking at the training, Assistant Director Lecturer M. Kadir TORUN said to the students;
Dear Students,
Today, I would like to inform you about a very important issue. Addiction is a great danger that affects not only the individual but also the future of families, communities and even societies. Addiction to substances such as cigarettes, alcohol, drugs or technology can negatively affect our lives. However, addiction is not just a physical problem; it is also part of a mental and emotional struggle.
Addiction is a chain that takes control once it starts. A habit that seems innocent at first eventually reduces our quality of life, damages our relationships and takes away our power to shape our future. That is why it is very important to make strong and conscious decisions before falling into this trap.
Our most powerful weapon against addictions is our awareness and willpower. We can be encouraged to engage in bad habits by the people around us, our friends or through social media. However, remember that real courage is being able to stand up to these pressures. It is in our hands to make the right choices for a healthy life, a clear mind and a bright future.
Don't lose faith in yourself and your future. You have the power to overcome every difficulty you encounter in life. If one day you feel weak, know that you are not alone. Don't hesitate to ask for help, because asking for help is not a weakness, on the contrary, it is the bravest way to take a step forward.
You are the future of this country and the world. The control of your life is in your hands; never forget this.
