Mudurnu (May 6, 2025) – In the Mudurnu district of Bolu, Süreyya Astarcı Vocational School (Vocational School) students and Youth Center staff enthusiastically celebrated the arrival of spring with a Hıdırellez event they organized on May 6, 2025.

The event was held at the Mudurnu Youth Center. Under the leadership of Youth Center instructor Beyza Yeşil, the VOC students and Youth Center staff organized various events throughout the day in line with traditional Hıdırellez celebrations.

Participants wished for the abundance and health of spring by jumping over the fire that has become the symbol of Hıdırellez. In addition, competitive and fun moments were experienced with traditional games such as sack race and tug of war. While young people had a great time throughout the event, the sense of community spirit and togetherness was also strengthened.

The aim of the event was to celebrate the arrival of spring with the students and to pass on traditional cultural elements to the younger generations by keeping them alive. The event, which featured colorful images, left smiles on the faces of the participants.
